I had such high hopes for the start of this year. Nothing has gone right yet I am still hopeful. I noticed a lot of homeschooling mamas go by “better late than early.” That will be my motto this year. A new friend and homeschooling mama gave me some awesome advice. “Don’t worry about the rate she is learning. She will get through and catch up in her own time. By the end of the year she will know what she needs to know.” I needed to hear that!
I found an amazing curriculum that sounds perfect for my DD#1. It’s the Eclectic Education Series, which can be found here: Dollar Homeschool. You get all the classics on cds and it’s a one time purchase for K-12. I felt so intimidated by the choices of curriculum and having to repurchase every year. My main goal was to teach good, christian values which this fits the bill!
So, here we go. Get ready for posts containing my messups and failures but also my determination to get through and turn my lemons into lemonade. ❤ Jenne
